    • Missed you in Vegas but I will definitely catch you in Chicago this weekend. Can't wait to hear your new music.

    • We can not wait to see you in Vegas. There is no one like you brother. My girlfriends and I play "Maybe I'm not the Man" "Hopes Too High" "Breathe Love"(Yes Breathe Love baby - REPEAT, REPEAT, REPEAT) and "Cold Rain day and not, and we are just starting to play "Greatest Love" the same. CAN NOT WAIT TO SEE LIVE. WE LOVE what you are nringing to not only black music but music period. The write ups say you are making timeless music that's the perfect word for what you are doing Marcell. P.S. And we have to get a picture with you...please please please

    • Mirage Baltimore: Awesome just awesome tonight. Crazy talent. your band and you were CRAZY and your voice honey had me gone! I could not stop singing that new song "It's Good" or "Good". You took that event and the whole niight to another LEVEL. keep it up. new fan here

    • Since introduction (2/26/2012) to Marcel & The Truth...I can't stop speaking and spreading joy of your music. Can't wait to catch your next show in BMore.

    • I'm at the Mirage show next Friday, you betta believe it. You are our champion for this city and for music abroad. I can sit and hear your voice for hours; it fills every corner of a room. I'm in here listening to your music right now and honestly Marcell you and your band are so ahead of your time. I had friends over last night and I was so proud of how they responded to your music. We hung out for four hours and we only played your two albums the entire time. In the midst of this musical dark mess out here right now your light is shinning brighter and brighter. Please do not stop bringing us your best. Even if many of us never personally say thank you we still need to hear this kind of true pure meaningful music.

    • Marcell...What can I say you had me speechless. The passion you put into your music is phenomenal. Your music has so much postive energy and you sing with so much soul and depth. You sing about the things that matter and you have made "Love" relevant again with your music. I love it! You and your band's performance at Eden's Lounge was great. I can't wait to see you guys again.

    • I could not stop crying and sometimes laughing when you performed at Eden's lounge Thursday night. You were seriously amazing. Your music is the bomb and your band is sick! You have a fan for life here. I wish I could steal your voice and put it in a box and carry it with me. I have never heard a man so smooth & powerful at the same time, I could feel in my body. Your voice filled the room like a warm blanket. I'm about to pledge; I have to support you are so worth it Marcell.

    • A'ight! Listen I'm 23 yrs old, I'm the hottest in my area as far as singing and writing goes. I'm a poet/singer but I have to give it up. Marcell you are on a whole other level from any other Indi-soul singer for REAL. Me, my musicians squad, and my manager have been studying your music, arrangements, lyrics, melodies, & vocal techniques. Yo bro you are the illest, PERIOD! Keep doing what you doing black, the rest of these horahs are forgettable. Yeah, I said forgettable. No body wants to keep it real, everybody want to keep trying support each other even when they are 0 and booty but I'm going to keep it 100 I'm supporting you 'cause you earned my money. Eric might be the "king" but you wear the crown around here. These horahs use slick beats but you use real musicians and still kill! I'm trying to get where you are! Keep doing what you do and the rest of these horahs will be exposed and fall off. Hell yeah I pledged and if you need me to I'll do it again. 1

    • Bro, go head man! we are sitting here like "This cat is nothing nice". I want to hear the song on the new album called "Slave Again" that title is sick! My wife had to support what you doing man!

    • My friend and I brought the New Year in to your live album. Thank you so much for that gift Marcell!

First off - Shout out to Alicia Keys, but more importantly Chris Wells for letting us grace ECHOES - December cover with two superstars! UK, you are often ahead of the US at acknowledging folks for their work. Thank you!!

Man, what do I honestly say, but God is good. We released this 2nd project feeling that it wouldn't get much attention, in particular since we released it on October 1, 2009; but in less than three months the love you all have shown locally & abroad has been simply amazing. The 1st album, we were humbled by all of the awards that we received, but glady welcomed them. Coming out so late in 2009, we assumed we just flew under the radar, but our fans, supporters, radio, online radio, local papers, etc... has brought us so much light and attention and we say thank you.

Now, this last award given for the entire year from Soultracks is probably the most exciting because you guys have millions of folks visiting your site every year. People come looking for established artists and up & coming talent. I stopped in Best Buy, Walmart and realized that literally thousands of CD/albums were released in 09'.  So to be a part of the TOP 25 albums of 2009, alongside some of the best like Maxwell, Ledisi, Eric Roberson, Israel Houghton, etc... is a true honor, especially considering how much you all are known for your frank candor.

-Marcell
